| Volunteer | Trek for Hospice is a year-long project to raise
funds for the Hospice of Larimer County and the The Denver Hospice. The fundraiser
culminates in October 2007, when volunteers climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, with Tusker
Trails guide company. Trek for Hospice is a project of the
Colorado Non-Profit Development Center and is
considered a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. The project was born out of gratitude for the works of the two hospice agencies. Helen Wilks died of liver cancer, after a short, but dignified, stay at the The Denver Hospice. Family members found an outlet for their grief through the programs offered at the Hospice of Larimer County. After searching for ways to give to hospice, Tusker Trails' charitable climbs were discovered. Volunteers will be climbing to the top of Kilimanjaro in October 2007 and encourage you to Trek for Hospice, too! Donate toward the cause or go to Tusker Trails and join us on the climb. |
